Red snapper, gag grouper, and king mackerel are the principal supported targets, combining bottom-oriented reef fishing with a fast-moving coastal pelagic component.

Pensacola Offshore Reefs is the public offshore reef field, including the Oriskany wreck, for red snapper, gag grouper, and king mackerel. It is not Pensacola Bay Entrance, and it is not the Destin, Panama City, or Alabama reef zones. Oriskany is open to fishing and diving. Staying out of the wreck interior is a dive-safety rule. Check the county reef list for munitions notes. The field is not closed.
