Privacy
This page describes the StrikeTracks fishing-information product as it works today. It is not a claim of professional legal review. StrikeTracks uses Vercel Web Analytics (Web Analytics Plus) and Vercel Speed Insights to understand product use and performance, and bounded Google Analytics 4 for acquisition and marketing measurement on standalone StrikeTracks pages. Advertising is not enabled.
Who we are
StrikeTracks is a public fishing-conditions and fishery-intelligence product for river, lake, coastal, and offshore destinations. Offshore coverage does not add location tracking or personal-data collection beyond the practices described on this page. Contact StrikeTracks through the Contact form.
Accounts and contact
StrikeTracks does not currently offer user accounts. Contact submissions use the website form. We receive the name, email address, topic, and message you send so we can respond. Google reCAPTCHA helps reduce spam and abuse on that form. Routine request metadata used to operate and secure the form, such as IP address and user agent, may be processed for that anti-abuse purpose. Messages are delivered to StrikeTracks by email and are not stored in a StrikeTracks application database.
Location features
Near Me uses the browser geolocation permission when you choose that feature. Exact coordinates are kept in the tab session for proximity filtering. They are not written into shareable page URLs.
ZIP search sends the ZIP code you enter to StrikeTracks so it can resolve a local centroid from an on-product dataset. StrikeTracks does not use that feature to collect a live GPS coordinate.
Hosting, logs, cookies, analytics, and advertising
The product is hosted on infrastructure that may keep routine technical logs such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL, as needed to operate and secure the service.
StrikeTracks uses Vercel Web Analytics, including Web Analytics Plus, and Vercel Speed Insights as the canonical product-interaction and performance analytics stack. Automatic pageviews are collected for ordinary page loads and in-app route changes. StrikeTracks also sends a small set of bounded product interaction events: opening a destination from a discovery surface, using homepage discovery tools, reaching selected detail-page fishing sections, opening full-screen from an embed, sharing a destination or the homepage, and clicking an official StrikeTracks social profile. Speed Insights measures field Web Vitals such as Largest Contentful Paint, Cumulative Layout Shift, Interaction to Next Paint, First Contentful Paint, and Time to First Byte.
StrikeTracks also uses bounded Google Analytics 4 for acquisition and marketing measurement on eligible standalone StrikeTracks pages. GA4 is supplemental acquisition and marketing analytics. It is not the canonical product analytics system. Vercel remains authoritative for product interaction telemetry and field performance. GA4 may receive sanitized page locations, a manual page_view, destination_open as the only key event, a small discovery_engagement subset, share_action, and official_social_click. Google Tag Manager is not used. Enhanced Measurement is not enabled.
Vercel Web Analytics does not set a persistent analytics cookie. StrikeTracks does not create a persistent first-party analytics localStorage identifier. Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage may be enabled by default and GA4 may use first-party analytics cookies such as the _ga analytics cookie and the stream-specific _ga cookie. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage and Google advertising storage start denied. The Google European privacy message can update those consent choices. If analytics storage is denied, GA4 does not read or write its first-party analytics cookies, but cookieless requests may still be sent to Google on eligible standalone pages. If analytics storage is granted, GA4 may use those first-party analytics cookies. Vercel and Google may still process request-derived and aggregated measurement information, which can include device or browser characteristics, coarse geography, and visitor measurement derived from the request. This page does not claim that no visitor processing, geographic processing, or Google network requests occur.
StrikeTracks analytics do not intentionally send exact Near Me GPS coordinates, exact ZIP digits, or typed search text. Product query state such as ZIP, Near Me, selected destination, embed, and fullscreen flags is stripped from analytics URLs before those events are transmitted. GA4 receives sanitized page locations using that same reconstruction model. Google Ads is not linked, remarketing is not active, Google Signals are disabled, and enhanced conversions are disabled. A European advertising-storage grant may permit advertising-related storage and signals in the GA4 tag. That grant does not activate StrikeTracks advertising inventory, does not link Google Ads, and does not turn on remarketing, Google Signals association, or Auto Ads. Advertising is not enabled. GA4 is not loaded in embedded, Shopify, or fullscreen-from-embed views.
Currently
StrikeTracks advertising is disabled. Advertising remains inactive. A consent management platform is not enabled for advertising.
StrikeTracks does not use Google Tag Manager. Product analytics remains the Vercel Web Analytics Plus and Speed Insights system described above. Bounded GA4 acquisition measurement is separate from advertising inventory. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Google European privacy message can update analytics storage and Google advertising storage choices for the GA4 tag. A European visitor can reopen those choices with Privacy and cookie settings when that control is available. US-state privacy messages do not change analytics storage. Google Privacy & messaging does not control Vercel Analytics.
When advertising is enabled
StrikeTracks may display third-party advertising on eligible standalone StrikeTracks pages. Google AdSense is the planned advertising provider. Google Privacy & messaging, Google's certified consent management platform, is the planned consent system.
Advertising may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where applicable. Personalized advertising depends on applicable privacy choices. Regional privacy messages may be shown, including European regulations messages and US-state privacy messages where Google's tools apply.
When advertising is enabled and the Google privacy-choice runtime is available, a Privacy and cookie settings control appears so you can revisit applicable privacy and cookie choices. That control is not shown in embedded or fullscreen-from-embed views, which remain ad-free.
Google advertising is separate from StrikeTracks product analytics. Google's advertising systems may use signals permitted for advertising. This page does not claim that the advertising stack uses none of its own request-derived signals, and it does not claim that advertising cookies will never exist once advertising is enabled.
Advertising is currently disabled until later launch authorization. This page does not claim that advertisements are currently serving.
Travel referrals
StrikeTracks may include outbound travel-referral links to third-party booking or provider sites. Clicking a Travel referral takes you to that provider's site. The provider operates under its own privacy and cookie practices. Provider cookies or similar tracking, if any, may occur after you navigate to the provider site.
Those third-party provider practices are distinct from StrikeTracks advertising and from any StrikeTracks consent-management or advertising stack. They are also distinct from Vercel product analytics and from bounded Google Analytics 4 acquisition measurement. StrikeTracks does not turn Travel referrals into first-party booking forms, and it does not embed provider booking widgets or provider tracking pixels on StrikeTracks pages as part of this referral surface.
Providers may report referral or conversion activity to StrikeTracks under their own programs. This page does not claim that StrikeTracks receives no referral or conversion reporting.
Embedded partner views
StrikeTracks may be shown inside a partner website, including retailer storefronts. Those partner sites have their own practices. This page describes the StrikeTracks application.
