Access, Safety and Regulations
Access
Public shore and pier fishing is through Gulf Islands National Seashore, Fort Pickens Area. NPS identifies the Fort Pickens fishing pier as the most popular fishing place in that area and as a licensed pier; the Fort Pickens ferry pier is closed to fishing. Confirm current seashore entry, road, ferry, and pier postings. Boat anglers must avoid seagrass scarring inside seashore waters.
