North-side public shore access is Sarasota County North Jetty Park (1000 S. Casey Key Road, Nokomis), which lists fishing among park amenities. South-side public shore access is the City of Venice South Jetty / Humphris Park; the city states the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers owns the north and south bulkheads and jetties and is preparing a major maintenance report, and it points anglers to the Venice Fishing Pier while jetty recreation is constrained. Confirm current jetty walkway, parking, and park postings before you go. Venice Fishing Pier at Brohard is a gulf pier.
