Kona / Honokohau Harbor is a west Hawaii harbor-and-nearshore fishery built around volcanic shoreline, harbor structure, reef edges, and immediate access to deep lee-side water. Giant trevally and other reef-associated jacks are principal nearshore targets, keeping this identity distinct from the separate Kona offshore pelagic grounds.
