The south jetty is reached from the Mustang Island / Port Aransas side. City of Port Aransas identifies free beach parking between the jetties and Marker D / Horace Caldwell Pier. The north jetty is typically reached by boat. Public boat access exists in Port Aransas. Confirm current parking, park, and navigation postings.
Primary hazards
Strong tidal current, ship traffic, and slick granite are the primary hazards. Boat anglers should not pull an anchor near the rocks without the engine running. Heat, lightning, and wakes are routine Coastal Bend risks.
