Description
Mongaup River hydroelectric reservoir in Sullivan County. NYSDEC lists 889 acres, 120 ft maximum depth, 38 ft mean depth, and Town of Monticello. A DEC fisheries survey also places the reservoir across the towns of Thompson, Bethel, Forestburgh, and Lumberland; the DEC place-page town value is retained with that multi-town footprint noted. Public concrete boat ramp on the east shore (Starlight Road) is free with no boat-type restrictions per NYSDEC. Special walleye regulations apply.
