Fishery overview

Taneycomo at School of the Ozarks is the cold Table Rock Dam tailwater, a hatchery trout lake rather than a warmwater Ozark reservoir. MDC stocks about 560,000 rainbow trout and 15,000 brown trout each year. Rainbows dominate the catch; quality browns are common. Generation from Table Rock changes wading and boating safety in the first mile and a half.
